“Mindscapes” Augusto Morelli

Augusto Morelli solo exhibition

The solo exhibition “Mindscapes” by Augusto Morelli will be inaugurated on Saturday, March 29, at 5:00 PM.

Born in Carrara in 1977, Morelli has always been a keen observer of reality, developing a curiosity for the details and nuances of life from a young age, initially explored through sight and later through photography. After taking a photography course during the analog era, he experienced the journey from the initial concept to the final product. With the transition to digital photography, he noticed a shift in his relationship with the camera, influenced by rapid technological changes. Due to increasingly cumbersome equipment, he decided to pause his photography until technology enabled lighter and more portable tools, reigniting his passion.

From this experience and his reflections on the nature of reality, the photographic project MINDSCAPES was born. This series captures the interaction between water, nature, and man, representing a meeting of reality and fiction through the image. The photographs are the result of unique and unrepeatable moments, in which each element, such as rain, the right time, plants, and the observer himself, combine to create an art that Morelli defines as “seasonal,” as it is linked to specific and impermanent conditions.
